About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. The role involves providing customer service while following safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities. Guards respond calmly and effectively to incidents and critical situations and conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

The listed starting wage is $21.89 per hour. A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions. Applicants must upload a resume to be considered for an interview. Employment is subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local law and may need to be met before employment.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience, or a bachelor’s degree, is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and undertaking emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
