About The Position

The Security Officer protects people, property, and assets by patrolling premises, monitoring systems, controlling access, and responding to emergencies to maintain a safe and secure environment. The officer also serves as a helpful professional resource while ensuring people on the property follow safety protocols. Positions are available at sites in Puyallup, Tacoma, Bremerton, Bonney Lake, Kent, and Sumner, Washington. Full-time, part-time, and flexible shifts are available. No prior experience is necessary; training is provided. Compensation is $19.00–$26.00 per hour. Securitas USA describes its purpose as helping make the world a safer place. Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or GED required.
Above-average computer and technology skills.
Ability to work independently and provide excellent customer service.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and vigilant throughout the shift.
Ability to respond to emergencies with rapid, effective judgment and appropriate escalation.
Strong observational skills, excellent communication abilities, and quick decision-making capabilities.
Willingness to participate in the company's pre-employment screening process, including a drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

Maintain a secure environment that protects employees, customers, and visitors from harm.
Respond effectively to emergencies and security incidents to minimize risk and damage.
Uphold company policies, safety regulations, and legal compliance standards.

Resolve conflicts and de-escalate situations.
Perform access control at security entrances and exits.
