About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring Security Officers for assignments in the Southwest Suburbs, with afternoon and overnight shifts and weekend availability. Security Officers serve and safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The listed pay range is $15–$20 per hour, depending on experience.

Applicants must meet the age and education or experience requirements, and are subject to a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law. State or local licensing may be required before employment. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements before employment.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
