About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring Security Officers for assignments in the Southwest Suburbs. Officers serve and safeguard clients in industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The posting advertises afternoon and overnight shifts and indicates weekend availability is needed. Pay is $15–$20 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
