About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring Security Officers for Southwest Suburbs assignments, with afternoon and overnight shifts and weekend availability. Security Officers safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site. The listed pay range is $15–$20 per hour, depending on experience.

Applicants must meet the age and education or experience criteria and may be subject to background investigations and drug screening as conditions of employment. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local laws. A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to drug screening as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
