About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard to support a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The role involves monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service to employees and visitors. The officer communicates professionally with employees and visitors to help maintain a welcoming environment while supporting site security procedures and emergency response activities.

The position is scheduled for daytime shifts on Wednesdays and Sundays from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $22.00 per hour. The position may provide access to additional shifts through Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following security procedures, site-specific policies, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain visitor and contractor records according to site-specific requirements.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, service requests, and critical situations; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
