About The Position

As a part-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location in Columbus, Ohio, you will help safeguard clients and support site operations. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control. The role calls for exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s culture through teamwork and integrity. The schedule is Friday and Saturday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.98 per hour. Officers can use Allied Universal’s Claim a Shift platform to view and claim additional shifts.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations before employment.
Possess a valid driver’s license only if the position involves driving.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures and site-specific policies and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of distribution facilities, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter areas; help deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
Monitor site access, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
Observe freight movement and dock activity for security concerns, report policy violations, and support orderly operations in a fast-paced logistics environment.
