About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Guard for an assigned logistics and distribution location in New Castle, Delaware. The position provides a fixed weekly anchor shift, requiring a six-month commitment, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company’s scheduling platform. Additional hours may allow employees to build toward a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back. The stated pay rate is $17.00 per hour. The listed shift is Thursday, 1:00 AM–10:00 AM.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for an unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing vehicle and pedestrian traffic, and documenting arrivals, departures, and deliveries.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and communicate observations to site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Complete activity logs, incident reports, and other documentation while maintaining a professional presence and following company and site procedures.
