About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol Security Guard in Sterling, Virginia. The role provides a fixed weekly shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment, and the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. Additional shifts may allow the employee to work up to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to scale back. The listed shift is Saturday, 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, at a rate of $22.00 per hour. The site has limited on-site facilities, including portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

The Security Guard provides customer service while carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responds calmly to incidents and critical situations, and conducts regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements that may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
• Perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.
