About The Position

As a part-time unarmed Security Guard at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in San Antonio, Texas, you will help safeguard clients and provide a welcoming environment. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, communicate professionally, and report security-related concerns in a timely manner. The role follows site-specific procedures and Allied Universal and client policies. The posted schedule is Wednesday from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Thursday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM, and Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.
Access control and badge experience.
CPR certification.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, contractors, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and access points to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entry and exit activity, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain required logs and reports.
Communicate clearly with site personnel and follow Allied Universal and client policies.
