About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer to monitor security systems and identify potential threats in settings such as security operations centers, call centers, and parking gatehouses. The position is located in La Mirada, California, and is full-time on the swing shift, Tuesday through Saturday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The hourly wage is $19.01. Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• State security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training. Additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Strong report-writing skills.
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents in detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure premises are safe.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
