About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard for a shipping facility in Downtown Los Angeles, California. The role serves and safeguards clients by carrying out safety and security procedures, following site-specific policies, responding to emergencies and incidents, and conducting regular and random patrols. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site. The position pays $19.00 per hour and requires flexible availability.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent, or five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license if assigned to a driving position.
• Have flexible availability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients while carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies.
• Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
