About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for a shipping facility in La Mirada, California. The role involves monitoring security screens and systems to spot threats before they escalate, as well as protecting people and property. The schedule is full-time, Tuesday through Saturday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. The hourly wage is $19.01. A uniform is provided at no cost, and the position offers career growth opportunities.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Hold a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and complete additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents in detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors' identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
