About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for a shipping facility in Long Beach, California. The role involves monitoring surveillance systems and other security systems to identify suspicious activity, detect potential threats, and help protect people and property. The position is full-time on a swing-shift schedule: Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The hourly wage is $19.54. Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• State security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training can be obtained during the hiring process.
• Strong report-writing skills.
• SIDA badge required.
• Sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
