About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for a shipping facility in Gardena, California. The role involves monitoring security systems and screens to identify suspicious activity and potential threats, documenting events, responding to incidents, conducting patrols, controlling access, and helping protect people and property. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The position is full-time and pays $18.97 per hour. A uniform is provided at no cost. Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
