About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for a shipping facility in Gardena, California. The role involves monitoring security systems and screens to spot suspicious activity and potential threats, documenting events, responding to incidents, patrolling the premises, controlling access, and helping protect people and property. The schedule is Wednesday through Sunday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. The hourly wage is $18.97. Uniforms are provided at no cost. Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Hold a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and have completed an additional 32 hours of BSIS security training; additional training can be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents in detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
