About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Guard for a shipping facility in Long Beach, California. The role involves monitoring security systems and surveillance screens, identifying and responding to suspicious activity, documenting incidents, conducting patrols, controlling access, and helping protect people and property. Multiple schedules are available, ranging from 16 to 40 hours per week, across first, second, third, and fourth shifts. The listed hourly wage is $22. Uniforms are provided at no cost. Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Hold a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and complete additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training can be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual acuity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
