About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer for a shipping facility in Long Beach, California. The role involves monitoring security systems and screens, identifying suspicious activity and potential threats, and helping protect people and property. Schedules range from 16 to 40 hours per week across part-time and full-time shifts. The position pays $22 per hour. Uniforms are provided at no cost, and DailyPay is available to employees.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional training may be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement in serious situations or emergencies.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
