About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Guard for a shipping facility in Long Beach, California. The role focuses on monitoring security systems and screens, spotting potential threats, documenting events, responding to incidents, and helping protect people and property. Duties also include patrols, access control, reviewing security systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions, and coordinating with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.

This is a full-time swing-shift position with a specified schedule: Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.; Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The hourly wage is $19.54. A uniform is provided at no cost. GardaWorld also lists career growth opportunities and a benefits package.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a state security license (BSIS Guard Card) and additional 32-hour BSIS security training; additional security training can be obtained during the hiring process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have a SIDA badge.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors' identities.
