About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard for a designated site in Seal Beach, California. The position provides a fixed weekly schedule of Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM, with a six-month commitment to the assigned site and shifts. The role also allows the employee to claim additional shifts through the company's scheduling platform, with the possibility of working up to 40 hours per week. Pay is $19.00 per hour.

The Security Guard provides customer service and carries out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities. Duties include patrols, access monitoring, responding to incidents, and maintaining logs and reports.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; at least 21 years old for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, consistent with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• Have a valid driver's license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, access points, parking areas, equipment yards, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor property access, verify visitor and contractor authorization according to site procedures, and report access concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, and document observations and actions taken according to site requirements.
• Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and support a professional environment.
