About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Guard to support a commercial real estate location in San Diego, California. The role serves and safeguards clients by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service to tenants and visitors. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Pay is $22.50 per hour.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
A guard card or license.
A state-, county-, or city-issued security-related license.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, parking facilities, building exteriors, and perimeter areas, and document observations and unusual conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations by following emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift documentation related to security events and property conditions.
