About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Suffolk, Virginia, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide customer service while following site-specific procedures and policies. The position pays $19.00 per hour. The schedule is 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior areas, parking locations, and perimeter to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, or facility concerns.
Monitor access points, verify visitor and contractor credentials as required, and document entries, incidents, and observations according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
Maintain clear communication with site contacts, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders.
Complete accurate activity and incident reports.
