About The Position

As a full-time Unarmed Security Guard with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location in South San Francisco, California, you will help safeguard the site and provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and clients. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, supporting access control, and helping create a welcoming and secure environment. You will communicate professionally with tenants, visitors, and team members and follow site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.

The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The pay rate is $27.00 per hour. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements if required for employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and clients while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, identifying and reporting unusual conditions.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established site protocols.
• Monitor access activity and report unauthorized entry, property concerns, hazards, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
