About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed patrol Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in Lorton, Virginia. The role involves providing customer service, maintaining a visible security presence, conducting patrols, managing access control activities, and communicating clearly with employees, visitors, contractors, guests, site leadership, and Allied Universal management. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM. The pay rate is $26.92 per hour.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• A guard card or license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and guests by following site-specific procedures and security policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following emergency response protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity reports and incident documentation.
• Communicate observations, concerns, and shift information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
