About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Guard to serve and safeguard clients at a retail and mall location in Meridian, Idaho. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, and responds to security-related concerns with integrity. The position is scheduled Friday and Saturday from 4:00 PM to 12:00 AM and pays $18.00 per hour. Additional shifts may be available through the company’s Claim a Shift platform. Employment is conditional on a background investigation and drug screening, as permitted by law. Applicable state or local licensing requirements may apply.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by following security procedures and site-specific policies, and conducting emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, customer concerns, suspicious activity, and critical situations.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of common areas, entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property.
Report unusual conditions, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate with site leadership, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management as needed.
