About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed Security Guard for a commercial real estate location in Chicago, Illinois. The role safeguards tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel by maintaining a visible presence, patrolling assigned areas, monitoring access, and responding to security-related concerns. The officer is expected to provide professional customer service and communicate with integrity. The schedule listed is Monday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM, Saturday 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, and Sunday 11:00 PM–7:00 AM. The pay rate is $19.75 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements imposed by applicable state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management personnel while following site-specific security procedures and policies.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and report access concerns or suspicious activity according to site procedures.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services when directed by site procedures.
Prepare clear, accurate activity logs and incident reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
