About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Unarmed Patrol Officer to serve and safeguard clients at a technology, media, and telecommunications location in McLean, Virginia. The role involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, providing customer service, communicating professionally with employees and visitors, reporting observations, and contributing to a reliable team that acts with integrity. The position pays $26.92 per hour and is scheduled Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Applicants must have an active DoD Secret clearance, at least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree, and a high school diploma or equivalent. Employment is conditional on applicable background investigation and drug screening.

Requirements

At least three years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
Active DoD Secret clearance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Applicants are subject to drug screening to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state and/or local laws and regulations, and may be required before employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter; identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate security logs and reports.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and professionally, following established escalation procedures.
Promptly communicate observations and incidents to site leadership, Allied Universal supervision, and appropriate emergency personnel as directed.
