About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard to provide patrol assistance at a healthcare location in South Bend, Indiana. The role involves conducting unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, and supporting a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. The officer provides customer service, communicates clearly, and responds professionally to security concerns and emergencies. The position pays $19.08 per hour and is scheduled Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, patients, and staff by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, laboratories, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual conditions and deter unauthorized activity.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations, following site protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, provide directions and escorts as needed, and report access-control concerns or suspicious activity to designated personnel.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with company and site-specific requirements.
