About The Position

As a part-time Security Guard in Omaha, Nebraska, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government utility location. In this unarmed patrol role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for employees and visitors. You will provide customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to security-related concerns. The schedule is Thursday and Friday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $19.74 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements that apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license only if applying for a driving position.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government utility facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to identify unusual activity, unauthorized access, and facility concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site requirements, and maintain visitor, contractor, and incident documentation as assigned.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating information to appropriate site contacts or emergency responders.
Observe and report conditions that may affect critical infrastructure operations, property, personnel, or public access.
