Security Guard - Full Time - Afternoons/Overnights
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed patrol officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Muscatine, Iowa. The role safeguards employees, visitors, and clients by maintaining a visible security presence, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, and supporting a welcoming environment. The officer communicates professionally, documents observations, responds to incidents and alarms in accordance with site protocols, and provides exceptional customer service. The scheduled hours are Monday 10:00 PM–6:00 AM and Tuesday through Friday 2:00 PM–10:00 PM. The position pays $18.00 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and drug screen as permitted by law. Applicable licensing may be required under state or local regulations; a valid driver's license is required only for driving positions.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
- Have a valid driver's license if the position involves driving.
Responsibilities
- Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations while following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, offices, parking areas, access points, and the facility perimeter.
- Monitor access points and visitor, contractor, and employee activity in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Accurately document observations, incidents, and unusual conditions, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Provide customer service and help maintain a welcoming environment for employees and visitors.
