About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Guard for overnight shifts in Coralville, Iowa, at a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role involves driving and foot patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, clients, and vendors. Officers communicate professionally, follow site procedures, respond to incidents and alarms, and help support a welcoming environment. The schedule is Monday, Saturday, and Sunday from 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. The pay rate is $19.10 per hour. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required under Allied Universal driver policy requirements; a valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking areas, and facility perimeters to identify unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, communicate professionally, and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
Accurately document patrol activities, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and client representatives.
