About The Position

As a Security Guard - Patrol Driver - Overnights in Fort Madison, Iowa, you will serve and safeguard clients at a manufacturing and industrial location. This unarmed, driving position involves routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to help deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming and secure environment. The position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. You will provide customer service and clear communication while working as part of a team.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements; required for driving positions.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, follow established site procedures, and report observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, access points, parking areas, offices, and the perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications, and escalate maintenance, access control, and security-related concerns as needed.
