About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed security patrol officer in Oglesby, Illinois, serving a technology-focused location. The role involves driving patrols and requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with company policy. The officer helps safeguard the client by maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service and clear communication.

Requirements

At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable law.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing may be required before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by following security procedures and site-specific policies and, when appropriate, carrying out emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to established protocols.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and campus activity, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
Prepare clear, accurate incident and daily activity reports while maintaining a professional presence.
