About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Credentialing in Joliet, Illinois, at a chemical/petrochemical location. The position provides a designated weekly anchor shift at an assigned site, with a six-month commitment. Employees may claim additional shifts through the scheduling platform, with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week and scale back as needed. The stated pay rate is $20.57 per hour. The listed schedule is Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 or older for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
• Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and appropriate emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points at a chemical/petrochemical location, verifying credentials, visitor authorization, and vehicle access according to site requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, delivery, and access records, and issue and collect access credentials in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, the facility, and perimeter areas to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
