Security Guard - Driver Patrol
About The Position
As a Security Officer Driver in Joliet, Illinois, you will serve and safeguard clients at a chemical and petrochemical location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for personnel and visitors. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. The role calls for exceptional customer service and communication while embodying the company’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, care, teamwork, and integrity. This is a full-time position paying $18.50 per hour. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 9:00 PM–5:00 AM, and Saturday and Sunday, 1:00 PM–9:00 PM.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles or 21 years old or older for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
- Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
- Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and perform emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of facility buildings, operational areas, access points, and the perimeter.
- Monitor access to restricted areas and verify authorized entry.
- Report unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Complete activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation accurately and promptly.
