About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Guard for an overnight patrol-driver position at a manufacturing and industrial location in Waterloo, Iowa. The role involves conducting routine and random unarmed patrols, maintaining a visible security presence, responding to incidents and alarms, monitoring access, and providing professional customer service. A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. The schedule is 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The pay rate is $19.25 per hour.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 19 years of age for unarmed roles; 21 or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations, escalating information according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, offices, and perimeter locations.
Identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and emergency responders.
