About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time unarmed patrol officer for an aerospace and defense location in Coralville, Iowa. The role involves safeguarding the site through routine interior and exterior patrols, maintaining a visible presence, supporting access control, responding to incidents, and providing customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors. Officers use computer or tablet systems as needed and complete activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation. The position pays $20.17 per hour and is scheduled Fridays and Saturdays from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements may apply under state or local laws and regulations.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, perimeter areas, parking locations, and access points.
Monitor and report unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, facility hazards, and security-related concerns to appropriate site contacts or Allied Universal supervision.
Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining a professional presence that helps deter unauthorized activity.
