About The Position

Monroe Village, a Springpoint Senior Living Community in Monroe Township, New Jersey, is seeking a full-time Security Guard to help ensure the safety and security of its facilities and community. The schedule is Saturday through Tuesday, 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., for 32 hours per week. The pay range is $16.48–$17.26 per hour.

The Security Guard responds to resident and facility calls, handles fire and emergency call systems, administers first aid, and coordinates access for emergency responders. The role also includes securing apartments when residents are taken to the hospital, conducting interior and exterior patrols, checking empty apartments, and knowing key building systems and safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Security experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to resident calls and requests.
• Respond to facility calls and determine an appropriate course of action.
• Respond to fire alarms, read the alarm panel, and take appropriate action.
• Respond to emergency call systems and administer first aid.
• Meet ambulances and escort paramedics into the building.
• Secure apartments of residents who are taken to the hospital.
• Make rounds and check empty apartments.
• Become familiar with circuit breaker locations.
• Know how to shut down and drain the sprinkler system.
• Conduct outside patrols during inclement weather to identify safety issues.
