As a Security Guard Licensed Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government services location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will respond to concerns, document activities, and provide exceptional customer service through clear communication. Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, directing individuals to appropriate services or staff as needed.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when required.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observed conditions through clear and accurate reports, maintaining professional interactions with diverse populations.
