About The Position

As a part-time unarmed patrol Security Guard supporting a government location in Nashville, Tennessee, you will safeguard clients and provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, observe and report security concerns, and follow site-specific security procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities. The posted schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The pay rate is $18.00 per hour.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Undergo a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
Undergo a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any licensing requirements applicable under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and agency personnel by carrying out site-specific security procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities.
Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeters to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual conditions.
Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, observations, and communications in accordance with site policies.
