About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Guard in Culpeper, Virginia. The guard will serve and safeguard clients across industries including commercial real estate, healthcare, education, and government. No prior experience is necessary. The position pays $19.15 per hour and includes paid orientation. The listed shifts are Thursday 12:00 a.m.–8:00 a.m. and Thursday–Saturday 8:00 p.m.–8:00 a.m.

The role involves providing customer service while carrying out safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities. The guard responds calmly to incidents and critical situations and conducts regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter. Work environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have five years of verifiable experience.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements that may apply under state or local laws and regulations; licensing may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out safety and security procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
