Security Guard - Unarmed - Full Time

About The Position

As a full-time unarmed security guard at a manufacturing and industrial location in Reno, Nevada, you will help safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence, and supporting access-control activities. You will provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors; communicate clearly; and use computer or tablet systems as needed. You will respond to incidents and alarms, conduct patrols, monitor access points, and document relevant activity. The position is scheduled Monday through Thursday, 10:30 PM to 6:30 AM, at $22.50 per hour.

Requirements

At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in accordance with site procedures.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, perimeter, parking areas, loading docks, and other designated locations.
Monitor access points and observe the movement of employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries according to site requirements.
Accurately and promptly document patrols, incidents, and unusual activity, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
