About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time unarmed Security Guard in Jacksonville, Florida, serving a technology, media, and telecommunications location. The role involves monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, supporting access control, and providing customer service and clear communication. The position pays $17.50 per hour and is scheduled overnight from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM on Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Meet applicable state and/or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while following site procedures and carrying out emergency response activities as appropriate.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas.
Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and reporting irregularities according to site procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, and critical situations, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities in clear, accurate reports and shift logs.
