About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Guard for patrol and inspection duties at a healthcare location in Durham, North Carolina. The role involves helping safeguard patients, visitors, staff, and clients by conducting patrols, maintaining a visible presence, responding to security concerns, and providing customer service. The listed pay rate is $20.46 per hour. The schedule is Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable laws.
• Submit to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors while following site-specific policies, security procedures, and emergency response protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout healthcare facilities, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, requests for assistance, and critical situations.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity according to site procedures, reporting unusual conditions or unauthorized access attempts.
• Accurately document patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders.
