About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time, unarmed Security Guard for a government location in Staten Island, New York. The role involves providing customer service, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and communicating observations and concerns professionally. The officer supports a welcoming environment and follows site-specific procedures for access control and emergency response.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by following site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government office location.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry according to site procedures, and direct visitors to appropriate service areas.
Document patrols, incidents, and unusual activities in clear, accurate reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
