Security Officer - Patrol Accountability

About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Officer for patrol accountability in South Bend, Indiana. The officer will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a dynamic logistics location, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control activities, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and provide customer service. The role may involve working conditions that vary by client site. The schedule is Monday, Friday, and Saturday from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM. The pay rate is $18.20 per hour. Applicants are subject to a background investigation and, where permitted by law, a drug screen. Licensing may be required under applicable state or local rules; a valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related procedures and site-specific policies while providing customer service to clients.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with a problem-solving approach.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and its perimeter.
Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents.
Support access control activities.
Communicate professionally with employees and visitors.
