About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Accountability in Providence, Rhode Island. The position provides consistent scheduled hours at an assigned retail site, with the option to claim additional shifts through the company scheduling platform. The assigned weekly shift requires a six-month commitment. Employees may increase or reduce their hours as needed, with opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

The role pays $19.00 per hour. The scheduled shifts are Saturday and Sunday, 5:00 PM to 10:15 PM. Duties include providing customer service, conducting patrols, responding to incidents, assisting with access control, and documenting observations and activities.

Requirements

• Supervisory experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
• Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet applicable state or local licensing requirements, which may be required before employment.
• A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store personnel by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter; observe unusual activity and help deter theft, trespassing, and other policy violations.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarms, customer concerns, and critical situations, following site-specific procedures.
• Assist with access control and monitor entry and exit points.
• Report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Accurately and promptly document incidents, observations, and patrol activities in accordance with site policies and Allied Universal reporting procedures.
