About The Position

As an unarmed Security Guard Patrol Officer supporting cruise operations in Cape Canaveral, Florida, you will safeguard clients, guests, crew members, and visitors by patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible security presence, and providing customer service. You will follow security-related procedures and site-specific policies, assist with emergency response when appropriate, monitor access to restricted areas, and report security concerns. This is a part-time position with a stated pay rate of $17.00 per hour. The listed schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; armed roles require applicants to be at least 21.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment, in accordance with applicable laws.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.
Meet any applicable state or local licensing requirements; licensing may be required before employment.
Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests, crew members, and visitors while carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, access points, terminal spaces, vessel-adjacent locations, and perimeter areas; identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report access-control concerns according to site-specific procedures.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations, and communicate with appropriate personnel as needed.
Complete accurate reports and maintain activity logs for patrols, incidents, and security-related observations in accordance with company and site procedures.
