About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a part-time, unarmed Security Guard Patrol in Winthrop, Maine, serving a retail distribution location. The officer monitors assigned areas, conducts routine patrols, maintains a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and supports a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. The role requires providing customer service, communicating clearly, and responding to concerns with integrity, reliability, teamwork, and care. The stated schedule is Wednesday from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Friday from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM. Pay is $22.28 per hour.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State and/or local licensing may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by following site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, alarm activations, and critical situations; communicate observations to site contacts and/or emergency responders.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, distribution areas, parking areas, loading docks, access points, and perimeter.
Monitor access by verifying authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles according to site requirements; accurately document entries, incidents, and observations.
Observe loading dock activity, report irregularities, and follow established post orders to support the orderly flow of deliveries and outbound shipments.
