About The Position

Provide security detail as outlined in post orders and establish working relationships with customers, local law enforcement, and fire departments. Security personnel maintain awareness of their surroundings, note activity in their assigned areas, present a professional image, and provide excellent customer service. Basic functions include controlling entrances and pedestrian and vehicle traffic, patrolling buildings and perimeters, escorting materials and personnel, inspecting security and fire exposures, and handling special assignments. Duties may vary based on department size, organizational structure, location, and post assignments. Reasonable accommodations may be made for certain ADA requirements. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Willingness to submit to a background investigation; employment offers are conditioned on successfully completing the investigation.
At least 3–6 months of prior experience in loss prevention, life safety, CCTV systems, or access computer systems.
Ability to obtain the required state license.
Pass a regulated drug test where required.
Honesty, alertness, discipline, and constant vigilance.
Strong customer service skills.
Ability to be hands-on and results-oriented while handling multiple priorities.
Ability to facilitate change, work as part of a team, and follow directions.
Ability to work with a sense of urgency.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Ability to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and customers.
Ability to push, pull, carry, or lift up to 50 pounds and climb stairs.
Normal vision, or vision corrected with glasses or contact lenses, for reading and viewing.
Ability to twist, turn, bend, stand, climb stairs, and walk as required.

Responsibilities

Report to the assigned post on time and in full uniform.
Maintain a professional image and greet customers, visitors, and employees politely and in a friendly manner.
Stay current with revisions to post orders and general information distributed by the customer and Andy Frain Services.
Patrol property or maintain a fixed post, report suspicious activity, and investigate accidents and criminal acts.
Continuously monitor cameras or other equipment as directed by post orders.
Maintain knowledge of emergency policies, procedures, and regulations, and respond to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
Complete Daily Activity Reports, log book entries, incident reports, and other relevant reports.
Recommend improved safety and loss-prevention processes to management based on daily observations.
Know how to use life-safety systems, fire panels, CCTV system computers, and other equipment needed for assignments.
Ensure the continuous and safe operation of elevators and access doors.
Know the authorized contractors responsible for equipment maintenance and upkeep.
Meet training and compliance guidelines established by Andy Frain Services and applicable regulating agencies.
Communicate new security issues or changes to the Security Supervisor daily.
Control entrances and pedestrian and vehicle traffic; patrol buildings and perimeters; escort materials and personnel; inspect security and fire exposures; and perform special assignments.
